Dee added : “We tend to associate exercise with high octane, fist pumping movement that sets the heart on fire. Let’s rethink that sentiment and add to it the cardiovascular advantages that set our health onto a new plateau alongside exercises that increases range-of- motion and additional flexibility to the body. Muscle mass is not purely acquiesced via weights and pulleys but using the body’s own resistance against force as Einstein’s gravitational laws imply. Also, in holding our body in position alongside alternative motor fitness elements we engage our bone density, thus going against the grains forward momentum towards a typically ageing physiologically body.

Our spine holds our motor units which engage movements via the neuromuscular messages they forward to and fro from the brain. Criss-crossing the spine in the transverse plane of movement is not a normal everyday movement pattern, yoga enables this to happen in a way that blends well with our ageing bodies using control.

Yoga sessions we provide align with fitness principles; this mean frequency will lead to progression. Intensity will occur over the 6-weeks duration, repetition leading to automatic economies of movement may occur, and adaptability within the program mean there will be much to suit most attendees, but we don’t try to beat you up in the process utilising impermanence freeing you of negative belief systems and typical in ground thought processes.

A query I had today was effectively saying ”there is no hope”. However, every time you carry out muscle conditioning and strengthening exercises you squeeze all the air out of the lungs and when redrawn increase red blood cell counts and oxygen uptake.
Comparing yourself to where you were ten years ago is defeatist, our bodies change physiologically and you will be surprised by the amount of people who have achieved so much with their bodies, but in their current situation can do barely half as much, this is quite the norm.

I invite you and entice you to try a journey of change for yourself, your own personal journey, where potentially inroads will be made, perhaps enhancing you a little bit on your journey from a to b, without comparison against others and with no judgement via myself.”

Om Shanti – May peace be with you.
