DMHA Innovation Fund & Involve Voluntary Action

Devon Mental Health Alliance is really pleased to be able to support Involve Voluntary Action in Mid Devon with their beautiful Vintage Farmers project.

Vintage Farmers is primarily an isolation-busting friendship group for older farmers in very rural areas who have lost their tradition means of connection with others. We know that suicide rates in farming are exceptionally high, and that several of our regular attendees have not been away from their farms in months. It gives them an opportunity to meet and reminisce with like-minded folk, plus an opportunity to learn new things from the visits to various agricultural-related events. To find out more about up coming events you can look at their Facebook page.

The next meeting is on 30th April at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum which is an anniversary celebratory lunch (funded from another source). People do need to book on as places are limited to 55, so contact Tamlyn at Tamlyn@involve.org.uk or call her on 07719014912. The money Involve have received will support their Vintage Farmers activities over the next year.
